Located between Huy and Durbuy, the Occarius vineyard was born of the passion of 7 friends who wanted to produce natural wines while respecting the environment.

The vineyard

  • In the Condroz region, the soil is rich in clay and silt, with a percentage of sand: it drains the water well. Schist is present in the hilly part of the vineyard.
  • The vineyard stretches over 3/4 of an hectare so far, with 5,000 vine plants/hectare.
  • Reasoned farming is favoured here: no chemical is used

Grape varieties

4 grape varieties are used among the 3,800 vine plants: 2 whites and 2 blacks:

  • Régent (black grapes of German origin)
  • Pinotin (black grapes of Swiss origin)
  • Solaris (white grapes of German origin)
  • VB cal 6-04 (white grapes of Swiss origin)
