Situated in the centre of Charleroi, the Musée des Beaux-Arts offers works by Belgian artists from the 19th century to the present day. The MBArts proudly highlights the wealth of its region.
Charleroi, past, present
Reopened in December 2022, this urban museum bears witness to the artistic past - 19th and 20th centuries - of Charleroi, its region, and more broadly, Wallonia. It also looks at contemporary artists who evoke this territory in one way or another.
A witness to collective memory, guardian of heritage, this Museum of Fine Arts offers numerous possibilities for discovery, particularly for young audiences:

Permanent collection
The permanent collection is made of works from different artistic movements such as Neo-classicism, Romanticism, Orientalism, Realism, or Neo and Post-Impressionism, Abstraction, Surrealism and Contemporary Art.
Museum visits
- Tuesdays to Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Guided tours (for school groups or others) - booking mandatory
