Looking for a way to reconnect with nature? Plan your stay in this forest, located in Martelange (Ardenne)..

Add an fun touch to your family holiday and stay in a wooden cabin of the Nutchel village in Martelange. Not just any cabin: a sustainable one, with a fairly basic kitchen area, shower room, raw wood furniture and large bay windows overlooking the forest. No TV nor internet here, to help you... disconnect from phones, laptops and reconnect with each other. As for lighting, it's up to you to make judicious use of the delightfully vintage oil lamps and candles provided. You could almost pretend you're in a Little House on the Prairie episode, with added style.

Rediscover the pleasure of simple things: heating up tea on the wood stove, wrapping yourself up in a blanket to read on the terrace, observing nature from your Nordic bath, getting ice packs for your wooden cooler, playing with your dog in the forest, borrowing a board game to play with the kids. In short, have a real family experience.

A treasure hunt to discover Martelange differently

Start your adventures in Martelange by discovering the region in a fun way, far from the N4 and its petrol stations. Stretching over a little over 4 km, the Balade des Petits Marcassins is a free treasure hunt taking place in nature, available via the Totemus app. To move from one stage to another of this walk, (there are 27 in total) you will needto solve a riddle each time – to the great delight of the kids.

This trail is designed for big and small legs: walk along wooden footbridge overlooking nature while the children run straight ahead, cross small bridges while watching the water flow beneath your feet, climb the observation towers to see the birds, admire the water lilies floating on a body of water. There is no lack of wonders to enjoy...

Going back to what really matters

Choose from the 30 wooden cottages on site, all well-equipped and comfortable. Some even have a Nordic bath, ideal to relax, listening to the breeze in the nearby trees... or simply light candle, sit by the fire and indulge in the magical atmosphere. You could also sit by the bay windows with a book, alternating between the story and the landscape.
