Located in the Jardin du Mayeur, the Doudou Museum invites you to discover the rich world of the Ducasse, listed as world heritage and a gem within Mons folkloric traditions.
Dedicated to the Ducasse de Mons, recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Heritage in 2005, this museum will tell you everything about the legendary battle between Saint George and the dragon.
The space presents different angles of this exceptional heritage: historical, anthropological, scientific, artistic, secular or religious. Half way between legend and history, the collections feature the many facets of this centuries old tradition.
A visit of the Mons Doudou Museum is also a good opportunity to discover the Jardin du Mayeur (Mayor's Garden), created in 1930 famous for its Fontaine du Ropieur (the Mischievous Boy Fountain).
