The EuroVelo 5 route is the perfect opportunity to discover the many natural, architectural, cultural and brewing gem Belgium is known for.

Also named the "Via Romea Francigena", this itinerary links London to Brindisi in Italy:  3000 km in distance, and 7 countries encountered along the way...

Departing from Roubaix (France), you will follow the course of a river, its meanders taking you at times in Flanders, at others in Wallonia. After a relaxing time through the Pays des Collines, head for Brussels and the Walloon Brabant region. The cereal fields, typical of Hesbaye, guide you little by little to the countryside surrounding Namur. When the Meuse tiver comes in sight, follow it all the way to Dinant before heading towards the Condroz, then the Pays de Famenne regions. At Marche-en-Famenne, the RAVeL cycling network takes you towards the Ourthe valley. The route ends at the Luxembourg border after passing charming villages and stunning panoramas, showcasing the beauty of Ardenne.

Departure: Leers-Nord Lock, rue du Canal in Leers-Nord (Estaimpuis)
Distance: 304 km
Level: easy
Marking: RAVeL
