Namur in May, Festival des Arts Forains — May
Every year during a weekend, Namur is transformed with the arrival of fairground arts festival. Shows (some free and for others there will be a fee charged), a cabaret, concerts, a vintage and designers’ market, legends, magical decorations, etc. – this is what the town offers you on its pedestrianised streets for an amazing time filled with laughter.
Les Fêtes de Wallonie — 3rd weekend of September
Created in 1923, these festivities celebrate the Walloon patriotism and spirit. For five days, the festival invades the town and more than 250,000 people gather there for it. Numerous bars set up on the pavements and the activities follow like concerts, folk dancing or even the famous stilt walkers’ fight.
Le FIFF, Festival International du Film Francophone — Late September - Early October
With more than a hundred French-language films presented during a week, it’s a festival not to be missed! You’ll be able to attend the previews but also to vote for your favourite. The FIFF is an international competition which gathers a jury of well-known actors and professionals.
