This magnificent Gothic collegiate church stands proudly in the town of Huy. It was built between 1311 and 1536, on the site of former places of worship. It has an impressive radiant rose window, Li Rondia in Walloon, including certain stained-glass windows dating from the 1970s that were destroyed during the war. The collegiate church is also famous for its treasury composed of four 12th- and 13th-century reliquaries.

The Fort de Huy

Built between 1818 and 1823 on the site of the former castle, this prestigious fortress is a must-visit attraction in Huy. Today, it is visited mainly for its Museum of the Resistance and Concentration Camps. In fact, the citadel played a role during the Second World War as it was a Nazi Concentration Camp.

A route designed by the Tourist office allows you to discover the rich architectural heritage from the Middle Ages that the town has preserved. This walk, a little over 2 km, will take you the length and breadth of Huy’s old town through its cobbled streets. The Li Bassinia fountain, on the Grand Place, is very much worth a detour...
