- Exhibition
The Durbuy History & Art Museum (DHAM) presents Cobra 75. When color invades the walls, an exhibition dedicated to the famous international artistic movement, thus marking the 75th anniversary of its creation. 30 artists have come together to feature 75 pieces to celerate the occasion.
From revolutionary surrealism...
The first floor of the DHAM is dedicated to “revolutionary surrealism”, the beginnings of Cobra, which moved away from Magritte and the surrealist movement.
The 2nd floor focuses on the artistic movement's desire to bring art and color into people's daily lives. The space floor has been transformed into a 1950s-style house.
…to the Cobra movement
Last but not least, the top floor of the museum leaves the domestic universe to step into the streets. An selection of posters gives maximum diffusion (and colour) and a presence to the Cobra movement in public space.
The whole history will be presented to visitors through the eyes of Belgian poet Christian Dotremont.
