The Musée de la route (road museum) retraces the evolution of road surfaces through time, with quite an unexpected scenography!
This open-air museum in Henri-Chapelle, on the side of the road, could almost be overlooked. It's worth stopping by though: it is composed of 6 stretches of road, each featuring a different material, thus offering a timeline. An interesting way to present the story of the famous Charlemagne road.
