Stavelot Abbey is hosting a new edition of Parrathon, a major exhibition launched in the 70s and 80s. Photographer Martin Parr, member of the Magnum Photos agency, will present photos that question society with irony and a good sense of humor.
A large photo exhibition in Stavelot
In collaboration with the Magnum Photos agency, Stavelot Abbey is exhibiting the works of Martin Parr, a world-famous photographer.
Parrathon is a large exhibition with more than 400 photographs covering 14 themes: from his first black and white series in the 70s and 80s through the famous color series The Last Resort (1983-85) which made him known, to 'to more recent series.
With an offbeat and funny style, Martin Parr dissects a society in search of meaning, evokes class struggle, overconsumption, vacations, mass tourism.
