In Arlon, more than 200 pieces retrace the fabulous history of the bicycle: a past rich in inventions to discover at the Weyler Cycle Museum, in the province of Luxembourg.
The history of cycling in Arlon
Inaugurated in 1992, the Weyler Cycle Museum located on the outskirts of Arlon, presents, over nearly 200 m2, more than 200 pieces which retrace the history of the bicycle, from the balance bike to the Grand-Bi plunging frame bicycle, velocipede Michaux, system bikes, tandem, tricycles... An initiative of the 1994 Belgian champion, Philippe Tibesar, himself born in Weyler.
From the most modest to the most impressive, all the pieces in the collection have passed through the hands of the champion to be polished, restored or repaired. This means that Philippe is knowledgeable on the subject and he shares his encyclopedic knowledge with generosity.
The screening of a short 20-minute film will add to the experience. Many other collections relating to bicycles are also on display.
