At the heart of the Semois valley, between Neufchâteau and Arlon, the Brasserie artisanale de Rulles reveals the secrets of its recipe to visitors.
The Brasserie artisanale de Rulles offers:
- Award-winning beers
- The opportunity to discover the Semois valley and visit its brewery.
- A tasting of distinctive beers
From water to passion
Grégory Verhelst started his quest for taste in 2000, having a specific idea of what beer should be like. The Brasserie de Rulles now produces 3.500 hectolitres per year, following a fermentation process based on open tanks thus showing how yeast works and letting it put on a show.
The brewery produces characterful beers (5% to 10%) free of additives or spices. All the beers are non-filtered, non-pasteurised and undergo a second fermentation in the bottle and barrels.
- The Rulles brune was awarded a crystal cockerel at the Libramont agricultural show in 2006.
The secret of a quality beer
Quality beer relies on one key ingredient: quality water. This is why the brewery chose its location.
When visiting the region, one of the most beautiful valleys in Wallonia, why not stop at the Rulles craft brewery? The master-brewer will welcome you with warmly and will tell you passionately about his work.
