  • Attractions

Discover this stunning garden at the heart of Courcelles. This former urban wasteland now features educational vegetable patches, areas for wildflowers, a wide variety of birds, mammals and insects.

The different areas

  • Educational vegetable patches where 350 varieties of vegetables, condiments and herbs are grown
  • An experimental field for permaculture, organic composting
  • A wild tree planted area leaving plenty of space for herbs, orchids... to spread
  • Another tree planted area (beech, ash trees...)

All are home to mammals (squirrels, voles...), birds (sparrows, titmice, woodpeckers, jays...) and insects (bees, ladybirds, chrysoprase, machaons...).

A didactic focus

"Understanding and learning to better protect" is the motto of this garden... hence its different approach:

  • socio-professional insertions garden (training for green trades)
  • educational garden (training, teaching, raising awareness)
  • garden for exchanges with the public
  • natural garden (managing green spaces, valorising species)
  • garden for all senses (touching, smelling, listening, tasting, observing...)
  • playful garden (games and animations)
