Located just 30 km south of Mons, the Parc Naturel des Hauts-Pays proves quite a stunning, preserved site. Birds singing, streams. waterfalls, forests, rich flora and faune, steep valleys: nature is queen here!
The Bois de Colfontaine : 750 ha of unspoilt (and protected) nature
Part of the Parc Naturel des Hauts-Pays, these woodlands are an important ornithological reserve. They also feature a wide range of tree species (hazelnut, ash, maple...).

- A walk for children (5 km)
- Path for walks and bike rides
Look out for
- Traces of coal mining activity that used to take place in the region
- Hints of what happened durin WW2 such as shell holes, where dragonflies love to rest in summer
