The small Erquelinnes harbour has a pleasant marina along the RAVel 3, not far from the French border.

Built in 1865, the port was home to various industries, one being freight transport by horse-drawn narrowboats.

Towards 1985, holiday-goers noted this abandoned part of the port, where the customs office used to be. Curious, they pushed the rusted gate leading to a passage under the railway and found a stunning side of the water, only used by a few fishermen. They decided to turn it into a marina.

The advantages of the marina

  • Along the RAVel 3
  • Possibility to enjoy a drink on the terrace of the Péniche café
  • Small parc with benches for picnics
