  • Folklore and Tradition

Join the Carnival of Wavre, quite fascinating with its bonfire, costumes and procession.

Carnival and Bonfire

  • Saturday: a day dedicated to children with a wide range of activities for 5-13 y.o. at the Town Hall and in the streets nearby. A jury, composed of people outside the Committee of Giants, elects a little Prince and a little Princess Carnival who will be invited to participate the next day in the Grand Carnival.

  • Sunday: the town centre closes to traffic from 10 am. The sound of drums, bands and Wavrian groups will soon fill the streets, followed by the procession. The festivities will end with folkloric dances and a bonfire.
