These new walking and cycling trails are perfect to discover Mons and its region's cultural heritage, recognised by UNESCO.

The first trail (2 km) focuses on the Ducasse tradition, taking you along the key sites up all the way to the Doudou museum.

The second trail (17 km in total) guides you from Mons to Spiennes through the countryside.

Take the time to discover Spiennes' archaeological site and its SILEX'S museum to learn about these exceptional prehistoric mining shafts. The Natural History Museum in Mons also has an exhibition dedicated to these neolitic mines.

Starting at either the Belfry or the Grand Hornu, the third trail will delight sport-loving visitors: a 20-km loop along the Ravel, to discover the mining past of the region. This project was put together by the Pôle muséal de la Ville de Mons, in partnership with the Grand-Hornu Foundation, the Mundaneum and the Maison du Tourisme de la Région de Mons.
