  • Exhibition

This exhibition at the Musée de la Poterie de Raeren pays tribute to the local stoneware though a selection of Renaissance and Baroque Dutch paintings.

Raeren stoneware

Use between the 16th and 18th century, they were part of the daily life of peasants, traders, church and nobility. Just as Tupperware’s today! This high quality ceramic was often decorated with care and made preserving and transporting food and drinks easier.

High quality reproductions

Over 80 pieces will be on show at the museum for this exhibition: these are refined reproduction, at scale, made from what was observed on Dutch paintings by Bruegel, Pieter Aertsen, Jan Steen, Georg Flegel, David Teniers and other lesser known artists.
