This 68 km hike immerses you in to the history of the communes of Bastogne, Vaux-sur-Sûre, Sainte-Ode and Bertogne.

The Freedom Route starts by the Bastogne War Museum, near the Mardasson, important memorials of the Battle of the Bulge. It then takes visitors along forest and countryside paths, where more sites are paying tribute to WW2 victims.

This walk is a Council of Europe cultural itinerary and part of an international memorial network linking the many European regions invaded then freed during WW2.
