Located near Waremme, the Domaine des Hêtres is a family heritage, known for its asparagus, but also pinot, chardonnay and muscat production.

The estate

Aside from traditional harvest, the Goffin family has branched out in arboriculture (apples, pears, cherries, hazelnuts and plums) as well as in green asparagus (the farm pioneered in that field). It also makes fruit juices and wines.

  • 7.5 hectares of vineyards (reasoned farming)
  • Argilo-muddy parcels (Le Grand Enclos, Le Pré du Berger, Javaux, Les Ormes and Le Grand Bruit)
  • White, red, rosé and sparkling wines

Grape varieties

Given the increasing success of its green asparagus, muscat was the first variety planted there: the wine produced pairs magnificently with this vegetable. It was quickly followed by some Chardonnay and 4 Pinot varieties, used for Champagne sparkling wines.
