The Domaine de la Portelette in Lobbes is an organic vineyard specialising in white wines and sparkling wines.
Organised as a cooperative, this estates gathers passionate producers, working with naturally resistant grape varieties.
3 organic parcels
The vineyards are worked over 3 years to allow progressive farming:
- First parcel (2008): 7,500 vine plants of interspecific varieties or hybrids (muscaris, souvignier gris, johanniter).
- Second parcel (2019): 5,000 johanniter plants
- Third parcel (2020): 11,000 vine plants of interspecific varieties (muscaris and souvignier gris) as well as traditional ones (riesling and pinot meunier).
