Enjoy a fabulous family day out at the Logne castle, its museum, its medieval space located in Vieuxville-Ferrières, near de Durbuy.
A real treasure
At the foot of the castle, the Bouverie, a 15th century farm now a listed building, hosts the museum of the castle. Archaeological digs found the trace of its mercenaries.
A collection of artefacts
Its galleries feature a wide range of daily objects discovered on site such as the remains of a large wooden hoisting machine, used to pull buckets of water, as well as hundreds of other well preserved artefacts: bowls, dishes, tin plates, leather pieces, weapons.
The castle
Continue the visit in the castle, the former fortress of the Stavelot prince-abbots, where the famous Ardenne wild boars took refuge and sadly destroyed b Charles Quint's troops in 1521.
