Just 7 km from the centre of Vielsalm, this museum exhibiting relics from the Battle of the Bulge was put together by a passionate family.

In fact, more than 30 years of research has been carried out on the region, including meetings with veteran soldiers and people from the region have enabled the creation of this particularly interesting little Vielsalm museum.

Set on several floors of an entirely renovated old building, the museum presents a wide range of relics from the agonizing period of the Second World War.

Such relics include uniforms, equipment, helmets, weapons, rare documents and films on the combats in the north of the Luxembourg province, a region greatly affected by the war during the 1944-1945 winter.

A memorial space has also been created, an homage paid to the soldiers and civilians lost in the war: a place where the memory of those events can be kept for future generations.
