No Shortage of Festivals, where Young People Gather

The most famous event in Ottignies Louvain-la-Neuve has long been the ‘24 hours bike’, a race in which students from all over the country take part. Two festivals stand out: the Noct'en Bulles and the Welcome Spring Festival.

Festival Noct’en Bulles — March

The Festival of Comic Strips of Louvain-la-Neuve invites you to discover behind the scenes of the comic strip. You’ll have the chance to meet your favourite authors here, but also to attend book signings, to visit the exhibits or even to get a caricature of yourself by a professional caricaturist.

Welcome Spring Festival — April

This free annual event brings together each year thousands of festival-goers of all ages for an evening combining culture and entertainment. The music festival welcomes famous and emerging artists from the four corners of Louvain-la-Neuve.

24 heures vélo — October

It’s the country’s largest student festival! During 24h, “humanitarian” bikes ride for an association next to “folkloric” bikes, which are personalised according to a theme. At least ten events spread out on the site of Louvain-la-Neuve punctuate the day and night! Electro nights, DJs, concerts, but also amusement to raise awareness or for the younger ones, etc. are all on the agenda.
