Housed in a superb listed 17th-century house, the Famenne & Art Museum (FAM) offers three experiences to visitors: the architectural heritage of the building, the treasures of Famenne and the universe of visual artist Remy Van den Abeele.

A museum, three experiences

The Famenne & Art Museum invites you to begin your visit by discovering a charming listed building whose origins date back to the year 1615.

Next, you can explore the treasures of the Famenne region, appreciated for its gentle way of life and fabulous history. The chronological tour featuring multiple collections (jewelry, lace, sculptures, furniture, photography, etc.) takes you through 7,000 years of activity and human life in Famenne.

From prehistory to Modern Art, the Famenne & Art Museum explores the subject through numerous themes:

  • The Franks
  • Famenne
  • The Master of Waha, a tribute to a timeless sculptor, representative of late Gothic sculpture
  • Modern Art
  • 20th-century craftsmanship...

Your visit ends with an immersion in the protean world of artist Remy Van den Abeele.

Summer family route

Throughout the summer, the Famenne & Art Museum organizes various activities for families:

  • Visit of the "Press & Art" exhibition with a notebook in which children add their own creations
  • Sensory tours of the museum's permanent collections.

Throughout the year, the FAM organizes temporary exhibitions, conferences, events, and even children's birthday parties. In addition, the shop offers a range of local, original and quality products.
