This 75 km cycling itinerary links Louvain-la-Neuve and Leuven, 2 university towns. This route is dedicated to Georges Lemaître, who came up with the Big Bang Theory.

Departure and end point: from the Georges Lemaître statues, the first at Place des Sciences à Louvain-la-Neuve, the other at the Collège des Prémontrés in Leuven.

The itinerary

This path goes through the Walloon and Flemish Brabant via the Merdaal forest. There are 8 iconic stops along the way, each with QR codes giving you information on Georges Lemaître's life and discoveries. The landscapes along the way simply are ravishing.
