The Théâtre Royal, in Liège, is also home to the Opéra Royal de Wallonie: the perfect place to enjoy opera and classical music.

The history

The Théâtre Royal de Liège, which can sit a thousand guests, was built in 1820 by architect A. Duckers. This splendid building was listed as cultural heritage in 1999 by the Commission des Monuments et Sites.

Fully renovated between 2009 and 2012, the theatre, a beautiful concert hall with an Italian architecture, shines again in all its glory. The work done allows the event space to be more polyvalent and host more modern productions as well as conferences and seminars.
