This fall, discover Surrealism at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Mons: an exhibition that looks for the first time at the object in surrealism.
A journey to the heart of surrealism in Mons
The exhibition retraces the history of objects (trimensional, but also linked to poetry, painting, photography, collage and film) within surrealism in the 1920s and 1930s, then in the consumer society that developed in the post-war period. It particularly highlights the plural relationships maintained by surrealism with commercial imagery.
This exhibition is organized as part of the celebrations of the birth of the movement in 1924.
