Located in Charleroi, the Museum of Photography is welcoming Gregory Crewdson, considered one of the most important international photographer. For some thirty years, the artist has been portraying a fading American dream.
Portrait of an America Without Glory
Discover a focus on Middle America at the Charleroi Museum of Photography, with Gregory Crewdson. His photographs, staged using cinematic techniques, have gradually assembled the fragments of a twilight world.
From the outset, pale lights and deserted streets have been the preferred settings for the American photographer's work, conceived as cinematic scenes to produce photographs.
Eveningside brings together works from the three series created between 2012 and 2022, envisioned as a true trilogy.
