The BPS22 inaugurates its 2024-2025 cultural season with the first retrospective in Belgium of French artist Alain Séchas' work.
Alain Séchas' retrospective in Charleroi
With the exhibition Je ne m'ennuie jamais, the Musée d'Art de la Province de Hainaut (known as BPS22) presents a wide range of works by French artist Alain Séchas. From pieces from the 1980s to his recent creations, Séchas features his famous figures of cats and Martians in drawings, paintings and sculptures. He addresses serious and light subjects alike, mixing humor and disenchantment, while exploring abstract painting and the act of creation.
