- Folklore and Tradition
The Saint-Vincent March is an 740 years old tradition, taking place every year in Soignies.
At 6 am, the pilgrims follow the relics of Saint-Vincent, founder of the town, along the itinerary designed in 1262.
Once back in the centre, the reliquary casket is carried in an historical procession of 800 participants (of which 70 are on horse), wearing stunning costumes. The route retraces the life of the saint and the tributes paid through centuries.
