The Festival Royal de Théâtre gather lovers of French theatre. The event will have a slight twist this year, with theatre, circus acts, music, family shows adding to its cheerful atmosphere.
An unmissable event
Created by the prestigious Théâtre National de Bruxelles in 1959, the Royal Festival de Spa has reflected the diversity and quality of French-speaking Belgian theatre for 65 years.
Since 2018, this unmissable festival in Spa has opened up to all performing arts: circus, musical shows, new magic, object theatre, puppets, theatre for young audiences, stand-up, visual shows, etc. Among the 90 events; 35 shows, 15 of which are accessible to non-French-speaking tourists who would make the trip to discover the region.
The 65th edition in 2024
For the 65th edition of the festival, expect an even broader offering:
- 2 events within the event with a show at the 3 Molières and a sensational Swedish acrobatic circus show under a maxi-marquee
- 26 shows featuring artists from Wallonia
- 15 shows accessible to non-French-speaking audiences (either without words or with surtitles)
- 2 world premieres
- 90 events over 17 days of the festival
- 12 different locations including 3 circus marquees
- free activities for all audiences, including concerts, piano bar, blind test... on a magnificent terrace overlooking the city, and street shows in the Parc de Sept Heures
