The Heritage Funds of the City of Liège are honoring the 9th Art through the Phylactère 2023 exhibition - Comic strip: heritage and creation.

As part of the inauguration, within the Heritage Funds, the City of Liège is exhibiting around sixty original plates, sketches, preparatory documents all from an archive center dedicated to the 9th Art. The exhibition is intended to be educational to allow a wide audience to discover the history and language of comics.

French-speaking Belgian creations

In the recent and old collections of the City of Liège, we find mainly authors from French-speaking Belgium. Some of their creations have been recognized as Treasures of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

Among the artists exhibited are:
