The largest light festival in Wallonia will return to Mons in 2026. This exceptional edition will showcase Mons and SPARKOH! through two luminous exhibitions, combining art, technology, and emotion.
This new edition invites everyone to reflect on light as a source of hope, knowledge, and emotion. Open to all and completely free, the 2026 Festival of Lights promises a dual sensory journey through the heart of Wallonia.
The city of Mons in lights
The historic center of Mons will rediscover all its luminous magic for an enchanting weekend.
Between artistic installations, monumental projections, and unique visual discoveries, the public will be invited to rediscover the iconic locations of previous editions, as well as to explore new illuminated spaces. This first itinerary pays tribute to the city's rich heritage and culture, while inviting contemplation and wonder.
Between industrial heritage and innovation
The festival will take place at the SPARKOH! site in Frameries (formerly PASS), an emblematic site of the reconversion of the Borinage mining area. This unique industrial setting will be transformed into a luminous and interactive landscape, where science and creativity interact with the region's history.
This artistic choice highlights two complementary identities: the historical heritage of Mons and the innovative spirit of Mons-Borinage, a symbol of a region in transition.
