- During a trip in Croatia in 1996, a little after the Independence war, Brian McCarty, an American photographer, decided on this project, War Toys
- Since 20122, the artist took pictures to reflect this theme in Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon and more recently Ukraine
