To cross from one bank to another in Walsort, you can use a ferry. Not any ferry, the very last traditional cable ferry on the Meuse! A trade that started in1 1871...
The flat bottom boat is guided by cables connected to both shores. The boatman pulls it with one arm or the other depending on the direction he is going.

Outside the functioning times, you can cross the Meuse (walking or cycling) at the Waulsort dam, 500 metres upstream.
