The Vesdre dam, just a few kilometres from Eupen, is one of the largest in Wallonia. It stores no less than 25 million cubic metres of water. There are two family-friendly, didactic paths to learn more about the site.
All about water
This easy 1 km trail features 4 informative panels presenting the building of the dam, the treatment plant and the role of water.
Starting point: Eupen dam, by the restaurant.
Forest time
Look out for Foxy, the picture of a sweet little fox... Along 2.5 km, it will be featured on panels and explain the fauna and flora of the Ardenne. The stroll will lead you through beech, oak and pine trees than along a stream.
